Buckeye Telecom’s 2025 Year in Review: Lessons Learned and What’s Next

Here’s the thing about 2025—it flew by, but it was one of our best years yet at Buckeye Telecom.

We onboarded a bunch of new clients and dug deep into their operations. The real win? We added serious value, streamlining communications, cutting costs on data and cloud setups, and beefing up security without headaches.

But working closely with these businesses opened our eyes to some harsh realities in the broader telecom world.

Outsourcing support and call centers sounds efficient on paper, but it adds layers of complexity that kill quick resolutions. Customers get bounced between reps who don’t fully grasp the issue, leading to frustration and lost trust. Clients switching to us want direct, knowledgeable support that fixes problems fast.

Then there’s the big carriers. Most are laser-focused on the bottom line over delivering solid products and service. Profits trump reliability, and it shows in spotty networks and extra fees.

What really grinds my gears is how these carriers handle talent. Year after year, they let go of experienced employees who know the systems inside out, while promoting yes-men and women who contribute nothing but politics: short-term savings, long-term pain.

Looking ahead to 2026, AI will dominate everything in telecom—and beyond. We’re talking agentic AI optimizing networks in real time, predictive maintenance cutting outages, and smarter customer interactions. But let’s be clear: we all need to stay sharp about it, personally and in business. AI can boost efficiency like nothing else, but unchecked, it risks jobs, privacy, and decision-making if we don’t guide it right.

At Buckeye Telecom, we’re leaning in responsibly—helping clients integrate AI tools that enhance, not replace, human oversight.

Thanks for a great 2025. If you’re tired of big carrier games and want straightforward telecom that puts service first, hit us up. We’re ready to make 2026 even better.
